Monitor and manage deferred fleet defects daily in AMOS, ensuring timely resolution planning, liaising with the Operational Control Centre on limitations and operational restrictions, consulting with manufacturers on technical issues, assisting Short-Term Planning and Routing in task prioritisation and parts interchangeability, managing maintenance task cancellations and extensions, analysing recurrent fleet issues, handling urgent engine alerts and vibration reports, and supporting MEL usage and troubleshooting, all in accordance with industry standards and regulations, to maintain fleet airworthiness and operational efficiency.

Main AccountabilitiesMonitor and manage deferred fleet items in AMOS, ensuring timely resolution.Report fleet limitations and restrictions to OCC, including pre-flight impacts.Handle technical consultations with manufacturers (Airbus, IAE, CFM, Goodrich, etc.).Assist Short-Term Planning and Routing in task prioritisation and parts interchangeability.Accept or reject maintenance task cancellations, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards.Process MEL and non-MEL extension requests under regulatory guidelines.Detect and analyse recurrent defects, reporting patterns to the Reliability Department.Manage urgent engine alerts and vibration reports, ensuring immediate action.Support MEL usage and troubleshooting processes.Oversee fleet health by evaluating multiple system failures and managing deferments per regulations.Provide expert technical advice to pilots and technicians for defect resolution.Verify interchangeability of parts across aircraft models to ensure compliance.Assist MROs and external stations with remote support on deferments and technical issues.Manage repetitive defects, coordinate solutions with the Reliability Department.Perform any other job-related responsibility or function as assigned.

Main Responsibilities - TasksEnsure all deferred defects are addressed promptly, preventing flight schedule impacts.Keep OCC informed of operational limitations for safe and efficient flights.Resolve technical issues through expert consultation, maintaining fleet reliability and safety.Optimise maintenance schedules and parts utilization to enhance fleet readiness.Maintain control over maintenance task cancellations, upholding safety and airworthiness.Manage extensions of deferred items within regulatory limits.Identify and address patterns in fleet defects for continuous reliability improvement.Respond swiftly to engine alerts and vibration reports to prevent escalations.Support MEL usage and troubleshooting for quick issue resolution.Contribute to rapid AOG resolution, minimizing downtime and ensuring fleet readiness.Maintain operational status and safety by addressing system failures per regulations.Facilitate effective technical issue resolution, ensuring fleet airworthiness.Prevent installation of incompatible parts, ensuring safety and compliance.Provide operational support to MROs and external stations per standards.Reduce repetitive defects through targeted actions, enhancing fleet performance.Fulfill the mission of the job when within the employee's scope.

Main RelationshipsActively collaborate with all VLG technical department teams, Operations Control Centre, Flight Ops department, and external MROs

EducationHold a University degree qualification in an aviation stream or hold an EASA B1 and/or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License on A320 family a/c

ExperienceExposure to a Maintenance Operation Centre environment.Minimum of 3 years experience in a Heavy or Line Maintenance environment on company aircraft as an AME or equivalent/or having 3 years of experience within MCC/MOC functions;

Strong communication skills and ability to read, write & fluently speak both the Spanish & English languages with all levels within a teamDemonstrate knowledge of PART 145/ PART M regulatory framework;

Understanding of OEM dataUnderstanding of a digital health monitoring Systems (e.G. Airman web, Skywise, Aviatar);

Advanced knowledgeof MSoffice environment;

Knowledge of AMOS and AIMSAbility to work collaboratively and under stress environmentHighly motivated, self-starter with strong business acumen and negotiation skills;

Experience operating successfully in a fast-paced, results-oriented environmentTimetable flexibility and availability
