Cloud Operations Architects (COA) drive our customers’ creative and transformative spirit of innovation across all technologies - including Compute, Storage, Database, Big Data, Application-level Services, Networking, Serverless, Deployment, Security, and more. This is not a sales role, but an opportunity to be the principal technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ to organizations ranging from start-ups to large enterprises in both the commercial and public sectors.The RoleAs a COA, you will help craft and execute strategies to drive our customers’ adoption and use of AWS services - including EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT, and others. Your technical expertise and customer-facing skills will enable you to effectively represent AWS within a customer’s environment, and facilitate discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively ensure your customers’ AWS environments are operationally healthy. Building close relationships with your customers will help you understand their business and technical challenges, and help them maximize value from AWS. The role may require travel of 10% or more as needed.The COA is central to delivering value to our Enterprise Support customers. Join a diverse team of technical experts across numerous countries helping customers achieve more with AWS cloud.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise on solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for the customerEnsure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexityDevelop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challengesDrive technical discussions on incidents, trade-offs, and risk management using your technical expertise and customer obsessionConsult with a range of partners from developers to C-suite executivesCollaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account ManagersProactively identify opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWSProvide detailed reviews of service events, metrics, and pre-launch planningSolve various problems as customers migrate workloads to the cloudA Day in the LifeSee what the team says about similar roles:
