Roles & Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Senior Data Lead Engineer to drive the evolution of modern cloud data, AI, and BI platforms. This role combines hands-on engineering, architecture, and technical leadership, focusing on scalable data lakehouse solutions and enabling advanced analytics and AI use cases.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and evolution of a scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud data platform and lakehouse architecture
* Build and maintain data ingestion, ETL, and transformation pipelines, including CDC and event-driven pipelines
* Develop domain-oriented data products aligned with data mesh principles
* Integrate cloud and on-premise data platforms, ensuring governance, lineage, and security
* Deliver high-quality datasets and semantic models for BI, reporting, and analytics
* Enable and support AI/ML and LLM use cases, including feature engineering and model deployment
* Implement and enforce data governance, quality, and guardrails
* Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-impact data and analytics initiatives
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data and BI engineers
Required Skills & Experience
* 5+ years in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, or AI/Data Engineering
* Strong experience with AWS (S3, Glue, EMR, Lake Formation) and lakehouse architecture
* Hands-on experience with Databricks and Spark (PySpark or Scala)
* Strong SQL and Python for data processing and automation
* Experience building ETL pipelines, CDC pipelines, xsgfvud and event-driven architectures
* Experience supporting AI/ML workflows in production environments
* Strong understanding of data modelling, BI, and analytics
* Experience with data governance, data quality, and hybrid cloud architectures
Nice to Have
* Experience with SageMaker, MLflow, or modern ML platforms
* Knowledge of LLMs, RAG, or GenAI workflows
* Experience with BI tools (Power BI, QuickSight, Qlik)
* Experience with CI/CD, orchestration tools, or Infrastructure as Code
* AWS or Databricks certifications
