You will support the Operations Manager as a Process Owner for all retained and outsourced processing activities and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for these work elements.
Responsibilities
Active Listening: Collaborate with Underwriters, Underwriting Assistants, and brokers to ensure clear communication and understanding of instructions for accurate processing of submissions and policy documentation.
Attention to Detail: Create submissions in systems by extracting information from broker documents and internal emails, ensuring accuracy; prepare required policy documentation within agreed SLAs and quality standards.
Operational Excellence: Undertake audits and Quality Control checks of retained and outsourced work elements to maintain high delivery standards; oversee Contract Certainty requirements for retained and outsourced bookings and identify efficiency improvements.
Data Analysis: Review outsourced work elements, perform root cause analysis of inefficiencies, and recommend continuous improvement; produce system over-limit reports and daily SOX reporting for Team Leader sign-off.
Business Partnership & Consulting: Act as a trusted advisor by developing knowledge of all P&C; lines of business to facilitate accurate processing for retained and outsourced work elements.
Customer Knowledge: Support Credit Control with management of credit referrals within authority limits, ensuring customer needs are met efficiently.
Multi-tasking and Prioritization: Manage multiple tasks (processing broker closings, monitoring outsourced work, quality-checking booking requests) while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
Records Management: Maintain accurate records of submissions, policy documentation, and monthly integral RI treaty input within agreed timescales.
Service Delivery Effectiveness: Ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to SLAs; measure and evaluate service delivery effectiveness.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in outsourced work elements, diagnose problems, determine resolutions, and implement effective solutions.
Time Management: Structure and control time effectively to meet audits, reporting, and processing deadlines.
Continuous Improvement: Pursue ongoing process reviews to automate tasks, simplify workflows, and eliminate non-value steps.
Qualifications
Native/bilingual level in French & Dutch and professional level in English is a must.
Experience in a processing role, particularly in following written instructions, data entry, and document/report drafting.
Previous Commercial Insurance experience is preferred, with familiarity in P&C; lines of business.
