About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and linguistically skilled German Content Review Specialist to join our team in Barcelona. In this role, you will review, evaluate, and moderate user-generated content to ensure it meets community guidelines, legal standards, and platform policies. This position is crucial in maintaining a safe, respectful, and high-quality user environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and review user-generated content in German, ensuring compliance with platform policies and content guidelines.
Identify and flag potentially harmful, inappropriate, or sensitive material.
Maintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail when moderating content.
Make prompt and logical decisions, balancing policy guidelines with cultural context.
Escalate complex content issues to senior teams when necessary.
Collaborate with policy, legal, and product teams to improve content standards and moderation workflows.
Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on internal policies and global regulations.
Requirements:
Fluent in German (native or near-native level) and proficient in English.
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze content in context.
Excellent judgment and emotional resilience when dealing with sensitive or disturbing content.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Good understanding of internet platforms, social media, and online communities.
Eligible to work in Spain.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in content moderation, trust & safety, or online compliance.
Familiarity with EU content regulations and platform-specific policies.
Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Background in media, journalism, communication, or law is a plus.
