What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Data Analyst, with experience in SQL and Python, working close to one of our main clients in banking sector.
Main tasks and accountabilities
* +6 years of experience as Data Analyst
* Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team using agile methodologies, contributing to data-driven decision-making across client\'s business units.
* Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and analytical models using modern data engineering and analytics practices.
* Apply strong data modelling and ETL principles to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient access to high-quality data.
* Implement and support end-to-end data workflows—from extraction and transformation through to reporting and visualisation—while ensuring adherence to data governance and quality standard.
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders across different divisions to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights and sustainable data solutions.
* Participate actively in planning, backlog refinement, and sprint ceremonies alongside product owners, engineers, and domain experts.
* Contribute to our growing Analytics & Data community by sharing best practices, mentoring peers, and driving adoption of standardised approaches.
* Ensure all deliverables meet client\'s high standards for security, compliance, performance, and reusability
What UST expects from you?
* Proven experience in data analysis or analytics roles with a solid foundation in: Proficiency in SQL and Python — essential for querying databases, transforming datasets, and performing advanced analyses
* Understanding of ETL concepts, including incremental loading, error handling, scheduling, and metadata management
* Strong grasp of data modelling and design, including dimensional modelling (star/snowflake schemas), normalization, and semantic layer creation
* Practical application of data quality assurance concepts, such as validation rules, anomaly detection, lineage tracking, and issue resolution processes
* Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience in a data-intensive role
* Good english level (C1) you will be working with international teams.
Nice to have
* Dataiku Visualisation tools such as Tableau Observability in data systems, particularly via OpenTelemetry (OTEL) — including instrumentation of applications and infrastructure monitoring using agents like the OTEL
* Collector Application and pipeline monitoring concepts
* Statistical analysis techniques: regression analysis, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, foundational predictive modelling etc.
Work location
Hybrid. Madrid city center (Sol area). 3 days a week in the office.
Business Hours. No intensive working days for friday or summer.
