Role Description
We are looking for a Retention Marketing Manager to own and optimize lifecycle marketing across email, SMS, and subscriptions.
This is not just a campaign or flow management role. You will be responsible for maximizing customer lifetime value and turning retention into a meaningful revenue driver.
You will work across data, strategy, and execution, identifying opportunities to increase repeat purchase rate, improve subscription performance, and drive more revenue from existing customers.
Responsibilities
* Own and optimize retention channels (Email, SMS, subscriptions)
* Drive lifecycle revenue strategy, not just execution
* Work closely with our email agency, while owning strategy and direction internally
* Build and continuously improve key lifecycle flows:
* Abandoned cart
* Post-purchase
* Winback
* Subscription flows
* Plan and execute ongoing A/B tests across:
* Offers
* Messaging
* Timing
* Bundles and incentives
* Analyze customer behavior, cohorts, and LTV trends
* Identify drop-offs and opportunities across the customer lifecycle
* Work closely with the performance marketer to:
* Improve new customer value
* Align acquisition and retention strategies
* Identify opportunities to:
* Increase repeat purchase rate
* Improve subscription uptake and retention
* Increase AOV from existing customers
* Turn data insights into clear, actionable experiments that drive revenue
Requirements
* Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with:
* Data
* Segmentation
* Cohort analysis
* LTV
* Experience with Klaviyo or similar lifecycle marketing tools
* Strong understanding of DTC retention and lifecycle strategies
* Proven ability to run structured A/B testing and optimization processes
* Ability to translate data into clear actions and experiments
* Highly organized, structured, and systematic in approach
* Comfortable owning outcomes, not just tasks
