Financial Aid Advisor – IE University

The Financial Aid Advisor plays a vital role in guiding candidates through financing options while also representing IE at key events that shape the student pipeline. This role blends advising expertise, commercial acumen, and strategic collaboration — connecting Financial Aid to the broader goals of marketing, recruitment, admissions, and institutional development.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - María de Molina .
Responsibilities
Your role as an Advisor will involve:
* Advising & Candidate Support
o Guide prospective students in understanding scholarship and loan opportunities, giving them a full picture of available options.
o Provide personalized support through one-to-one meetings, email communication, and follow-ups that ensure candidates feel informed and valued throughout their journey.
o Conduct financial aid information sessions — both online and in person — to engage diverse audiences and support recruitment goals.
* Commercial & Outreach Activities
o Actively participate in Open House events, fairs, and info sessions, representing Financial Aid as a key strategic function that supports enrollment.
o Collaborate with the recruitment teams to identify high-potential leads and communicate financial options that drive program conversion.
o Present complex information clearly and persuasively in public-speaking settings (English and Spanish).
o Support the development of promotional materials and digital content that highlight scholarship opportunities and success stories.
* Operational & Analytical Excellence
o Review and assess financial aid applications, ensuring accurate, fair, and compliant scholarship review.
o Track and analyze scholarship data, conversion rates, and financial aid impact to inform departmental and institutional strategy.
o Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and user experience.
* Strategic Collaboration
o Contribute to initiatives that strengthen diversity and inclusion, such as gender-focused funding, emerging market outreach, and need-based aid strategies.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree minimum.
* Advanced in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable speaking in public.
* Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, international environment.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and balance commercial objectives with student support.
* Proficiency with Excel, CRM and the Microsoft app ecosystem.
* Previous experience in student advising, financial services, or international education is highly valued.
