Functions
Our client is seeking a Finance Director to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement the financial strategy aligned with company goals. Collaborate with senior management on long-term financial plans, including capital allocation, risk management, and investment strategies. Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
* Capital Management and Investor Relations: Manage the capital structure, optimize debt and equity financing, and maintain strong relationships with investors through timely financial updates.
* Financial Reporting and Analysis: Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with regulations. Provide financial analysis to support decision-making and operational improvements.
* Risk Management and Compliance: Implement risk management strategies and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
* Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative culture and professional growth.
* Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with project development teams, legal advisors, and financial partners to support renewable energy projects.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
* Proven experience as a Finance Director or senior finance leader in renewable energy or related sectors.
* Strong understanding of renewable energy project finance, asset management, and the IPP business model.
* Exceptional financial modeling, analysis, and strategic planning skills.
* Experience in investor relations and fundraising.
* Proficiency in financial reporting, compliance, and regulation.
* Excellent communication skills; fluency in English and Spanish; knowledge of Italian and Portuguese is a plus.
