The company combines a profitable creative services division with a growing technology platform that is shaping the future of music licensing.
The Head of Finance & Operations will play a key leadership role, overseeing finance and operations while supporting the company’s growth. This hands-on position involves designing financial strategies, streamlining processes, implementing smarter systems, and transforming finance and operations into a proactive, data-driven function.

Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Finance & Planning
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to guide decision-making
Partner with leadership on fundraising and investor relations
Build frameworks to track project-level profitability, client performance, and key business metrics
Develop dashboards and KPIs to provide real-time visibility into company health
Build systems and dashboards to provide real-time, reliable data for management and investors
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and quarterly reporting processes
HR Processes & Administration
Design, implement, and maintain structured HR processes, including employee evaluations, sick leave, vacation policies, and step-by-step procedure documentation
Oversee business operations: vendor management, contracts, compliance, and legal coordination
Manage and mentor a small admin team (2 people)
Systems & Process Optimisation
Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in HR, finance, and administrative processes
Automate workflows to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve visibility of data
Re-engineer revenue cycles with automation tools to streamline invoicing and collections
Modernise spend and accounts payable processes through best-in-class platforms
Manage and optimise the financial tech stack to ensure accuracy and scalability
Explore and implement new tools and technologies to support scalable operations.
Core Skills/Experience:
~ Degree in Finance or similar
~5–10 years of finance experience, ideally with exposure to operations
~ Background in corporate & high-growth startups or dynamic tech-driven environments
~ Strategic thinker with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
~ Strong technical experience with QuickBooks Online and automation tools
~ Excellent financial modelling and data analysis skills
~ Excited by creativity, culture, and shaping the future of an industry in transition
