As a Mid QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining automated test suites that validate software conformance to defined acceptance criteria, design documentation, and application standards.
The Mid QA Automation Engineer will work closely with Business Analysts and Development Teams across a range of projects, ensuring adherence to quality assurance and control processes, while actively contributing to their ongoing development and improvement. You will report on test run results to help identify problematic areas and provide status updates for business stakeholders.
What you will be doing:
1. Designing, developing, and implementing automated functional and non-functional validation solutions;
2. Designing, developing, and implementing automated test scripts for desktop applications;
3. Creating and analyzing requirements for estimation and execution of manual test cases;
4. Maintaining test documentation and reporting defects;
5. Identifying, analyzing, and reporting overall test status and results, including defects/issues to the project team;
6. Preparing test data and ensuring the availability and health of testing environments;
7. Providing task estimates for automated tests and reporting any variances to the Project Manager;
8. Participating in bug triage processes to prioritize issues and maintaining the test automation knowledge base.
Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance;
* Hands-on experience with functional testing, including end-to-end and regression testing;
* Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA and automation testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver;
* Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming & Java, and experience with version control systems like GIT or SVN;
* Understanding of REST architecture and testing against endpoints;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* High attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing; familiarity with Windows and Mac OS;
* Experience testing desktop applications based on Windows, Microsoft 360, and Google Docs.
