Fully qualified lawyer authorized to practice law in Spain with a Master of Law degree or higher.
Minimum of ten (10) years' relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in an in-house environment within sectors such as Construction, Oil & Energy, or Renewables & Environment.
Native Spanish speaker.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Reporting Line
The role is part of the Global Legal Department (GLD) and reports directly to the Regional Legal Team (Iberia & Italy, Middle East & Anglophone Africa Region).
Job Responsibilities
* Deliver all legal services for the zone, utilizing external resources as approved.
* Oversee and deliver legal services in domestic and international bids, focusing on commercial contract review and collaborating with regional legal teams.
* Provide timely and quality legal advice on areas such as leased & property matters, general commercial transactions, and product and quality issues.
* Operate as a key business partner within the GLD, offering strategic legal support and advice.
* Negotiate contracts and deals on behalf of the company.
* Oversee claims and litigation processes and reporting.
* Support transversal activities and assist other regional legal team members as needed.
* Guide managers to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Key Accountabilities
* Support local commercial and procurement functions with contractual matters, including international elements.
* Develop organizational policies on industry-specific issues, corporate governance, or regulatory affairs.
* Draft and negotiate various contracts, including NDAs, supply, purchase, licensing, distribution, and other commercial agreements.
* Review tenders and contracts, support negotiations, and prepare template agreements and T&Cs.
* Monitor and improve contract compliance; provide redlined recommendations.
* Collaborate with finance, tax, treasury, insurance teams on contract negotiations and requirements.
* Maintain contractual records and manage disputes and litigation processes.
* Participate in legal training activities.

* Deep understanding of in-house legal operations and a passion for Schneider Electric's business.
* Ability to analyze critical business issues and apply legal expertise to find solutions and mitigate risks.
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and manage conflicts.
* Experience working with international and multidisciplinary teams.
