A leading multinational industrial company is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety (H&S) Specialist to join its dynamic HR team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company’s commitment to workplace safety, employee well-being, and regulatory compliance across its global operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies while partnering closely with HR and operational leaders to foster a proactive safety culture.
Main Responsibilities
* Support and assist the HR and Resourcing Manager in delivering comprehensive HR and Health & Safety services to meet business objectives and stakeholder needs.
* Provide high-quality HR and recruitment administrative support, ensuring excellent customer care and full confidentiality in compliance with data protection regulations.
* Administer payroll, monthly bonuses, company benefits, and collaborate with external partners.
* Promote equality and diversity, ensuring these principles are embedded in all activities.
* Oversee the coordination and regular updating of workplace noticeboards at all company sites.
* Assist with candidate communications, including interview confirmations and onboarding information.
* Contribute to the ongoing review and improvement of HR operational practices and procedures.
* Maintain and build positive relationships with employees and external agencies.
* Search for and collect training offers aligned with the company’s global development plan.
* Manage employee insurance and relationships with mutual insurance partners.
* Keep HR and H&S key performance indicators (KPIs) updated.
* Support recruitment and temporary contract processes, including coordination with external parties for H&S matters.
* Administer all health and safety tasks and documentation, coordinate the HS Committee, and represent the company in group-level H&S matters.
* Support employee relations and help resolve internal difficulties through effective information sharing and first-line HR advice.
* Participate in meetings, providing necessary information and suggestions for improvement.
Requirements
* University degree in Human Resources, Health & Safety Management, or related field;
equivalent qualifications accepted
* Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in HR and/or Health & Safety (desirable).
* Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive issues confidentially and respond calmly in complex situations or under pressure.
* Strong teamwork skills, capable of relaying messages and information efficiently.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office;
good numeracy and literacy skills.
* Accurate, detail-oriented, and adaptable to new policies and procedures.
* Good level of English language proficiency.
