Position Objective:
The Program Director of Perioperative Services, reporting to the Vice President of Clinical, provides strategic leadership and oversight for services including Operating Rooms, Cystoscopy, Post Anaesthetic Recovery Unit, Pre-operative Care Unit, and Surgical Day Care. The director ensures high-quality patient care aligned with legal, regulatory, and professional standards, and collaborates with the Chief/Physician Director to set strategic direction and promote best practices at Humber River Health.
Career Experience and Core Competencies:
1. Master's Degree in Nursing or a related discipline.
2. Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
3. Membership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO).
4. Clinical experience in acute services.
5. Minimum of five years of management experience working with a medical dyad partner.
6. Experience in business planning, resource management, program development, evaluation, and patient care services management.
