Overview Open postdoc position at the Geosciences Institute in Madrid, Spain (IGEO), in Climate-Cryosphere modelling.The position is in the framework of the EU project.Duration: 2 years with possibility for extension.Starting date: June 1, ****, or upon agreement.Responsibilities The postdoc will work with a coupled climate-cryosphere intermediate complexity Earth system model (ClimberX-Yelmo), focusing on ocean-ice-sheet interactions on different time periods and scales, ranging from the pre-Quaternary Antarctic inception, abrupt events of the last glacial cycles and future projections of the coupling between the oceanic circulation and Greenland and Antarctic response under different extended scenarios.Qualifications have a PhD in Earth science, physics or a related field.have experience with numerical modeling and programming (e.g., Fortran).be a proficient user of scientific computing environments (e.g., Python, Julia, R).preferably with experience using high performance computing clusters (HPCCs).have a publication record in peer-reviewed, international journals.be fluent in English (equivalent to CEFR level C1).Applications Submit your application including a letter of motivation, a CV and contact details of two referees by email to ******#J-*****-Ljbffr
