WHO ARE WE?
No espere a enviar su solicitud después de leer esta descripción; se espera un gran volumen de candidaturas para esta oportunidad.
Sateliot is a Barcelona-based Startup in the New Space sector, becoming the first satellite telecommunications operator that will provide global and continuous connectivity to all the elements that will make up the massive Internet of Things (IoT) universe under the 5G protocol .
In order to do so, Sateliot is launching a constellation of last generation nanosatellites, located at low altitude that act as mobile towers. Sateliot is the perfect complement for large telecommunications companies by providing them with the necessary infrastructure where terrestrial technologies do not arrive.
YOUR MISSION
As a MAIT Technician – Assembly & Integration, you will perform the hands-on assembly and integration of spacecraft subsystems and the complete satellite.
Working closely with MAIT and system engineers, you will transform engineering designs into flight-ready hardware, carrying out mechanical and electrical assembly activities at both subsystem and spacecraft level. This includes assembling subsystems, installing and routing harnesses, performing soldering and rework when required, and integrating subsystems into the satellite structure as part of the progressive build of the spacecraft.
Your work will ensure that all spacecraft subsystems are properly assembled, interconnected and integrated, contributing directly to the successful build of the satellite.
YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS
Subsystem Assembly & Integration
* Perform the assembly and integration of spacecraft subsystems following engineering drawings and work instructions.
* Carry out mechanical and electrical assembly tasks at subsystem level, including installation of electronic boards, internal cabling and harness routing, connector termination, soldering and rework when required, and mechanical integration of components within subsystem structures.
* Verify the correct mechanical and electrical configuration of assembled subsystems prior to spacecraft integration.
Satellite Integration
* Install and integrate spacecraft subsystems into the satellite structure.
* Perform the mechanical installation and alignment of subsystems within the spacecraft structure.
* Execute the electrical interconnection of subsystems through harness installation, cable routing and connector mating.
* Participate directly in the progressive build and integration of the complete satellite.
Electrical Integration & Harness Installation
* Manufacture and install electrical harnesses and cable assemblies.
* Perform cable routing, harness installation and connector mating between spacecraft subsystems.
* Execute crimping and termination of connectors.
* Inspect and verify harness installation according to integration procedures.
Mechanical Integration
* Install structural components, brackets and mounting hardware.
* Integrate thermal hardware and thermal interface materials.
* Apply structural or thermal adhesives following defined procedures.
Documentation & Integration Support
* Record assembly and integration activities in build logs and integration documentation.
* Follow assembly procedures, configuration control and quality requirements.
* Work closely with engineers to identify and resolve integration issues during subsystem and spacecraft integration.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
* Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical assembly and integration of hardware systems.
* Proven experience working with complex electromechanical systems or subsystems.
Core Technical Skills
* Strong hands-on skills in mechanical and electrical assembly.
* Experience with harness fabrication, cable routing and connector termination.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions and wiring schematics.
* Experience with soldering and electrical rework.
* Experience integrating subsystems within larger systems or platforms.
* High attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures and build documentation.
Relevant Industry Experience
Experience in the space sector is highly valued, but candidates with relevant assembly and integration experience in other industries will also be considered.
Particularly relevant sectors include:
* Aerospace and aviation
* UAV / drone manufacturing
* Automotive
* Electromechanical system integration
* Scientific instrumentation or high-reliability hardware manufacturing
NICE TO HAVE
* Hands-on experience in spacecraft assembly and integration, from subsystem integration to full spacecraft build.
* Experience working in cleanroom or ESD-controlled environments.
* Familiarity with ECSS standards related to high-reliability assembly processes (e.g. ECSS-Q-ST-70 series for soldering, crimping and bonding).
* Certifications or training in:
* Electronics assembly and soldering, such as IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 or ECSS-Q-ST-70-08.
* Cable harness and wiring, such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 or ECSS-Q-ST-70-26.
* Cleanroom and ESD handling, such as ANSI/ESD S20.20 or IEC 61340.
* Adhesives, bonding and mechanical integration, such as ECSS-Q-ST-70-16 or similar high-reliability bonding standards.
