Role Overview
We are seeking a Python Tech Lead to support backend development for a B2B client focused on automating relationships between suppliers, distributors, and resellers. The role involves building and enhancing backend services, APIs, and automation features.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development
- Develop, improve, and maintain backend services using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and reusable REST APIs.
- Collaborate with product and frontend teams to ensure seamless API integration and data flow.
- Apply best practices for REST API design, backend development, and code linting.
- Identify and fix vulnerabilities, ensuring efficient and secure code.
- Maintain compliance with coding standards and participate in code reviews.
Database & ORM
- Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Optimize performance and maintain data integrity across multiple databases.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Write unit and integration tests using PyTest and Django testing framework.
- Ensure high test coverage for all core modules.
Implementation & Deployment
- Utilize Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker for development and deployment.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for deployment and monitoring.
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Java, with experience in Spring, JDBC, Hibernate, and REST Web Services.
- Solid understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, Microservices, and Clean Architecture.
- Experience with application servers (e.g., Wildfly, Tomcat).
- Proficiency in Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong SQL experience (especially PostgreSQL) and CI/CD testing.
- Hands-on experience with Python.
Desirable Skills
- Expertise in REST API design.
- Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Familiarity with end-to-end testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber).
- Knowledge of DevOps processes and CI tools like Jenkins.
