Overview
Our goal is to strengthen the brand in Spain. We are looking for an expert to work as Data Engineer.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL procedures, packages, and functions to support data integration, transformation, and processing workflows.
* Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring performance, reliability, and integrity across data pipelines and data marts.
* Build and automate ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data into analytical and operational data stores.
* Develop Spring Boot services to support data ingestion, API-driven integrations, and backend automation.
* Create, enhance, and troubleshoot Unix/Linux shell scripts to orchestrate jobs, automate data workflows, and manage system-level tasks.
* Collaborate with Data Architecture and Analytics teams to ensure accurate, timely, and scalable data delivery.
* Perform root-cause analysis, debugging, and performance tuning across database queries, ETL jobs, and application components.
* Contribute to the design and evolution of data models and data mart structures, ensuring alignment with business and reporting needs.
* Ensure compliance with data governance, quality standards, and security requirements.
* Support production environments, including proactive monitoring and incident resolution.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong expertise in Oracle and advanced PL/SQL development.
* Proficiency in Unix/Linux scripting (bash, ksh, or similar).
* Hands-on experience designing and maintaining ETL processes and data integration workflows.
* Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and data mart modeling.
* Strong experience building backend services with Java + Spring Boot.
* Familiarity with job schedulers (Cron, Autosys, Control-M, or similar).
* Experience working with large datasets and performance optimization techniques.
* Ability to troubleshoot complex data and system issues across multiple layers.
* Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows.
* Knowledge of REST APIs and integration patterns.
* Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
* Familiarity with Kafka, messaging systems, or event-driven architectures.
