Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years of experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.
We are currently looking for a Project Development Manager specialized in hybrid renewable projects to lead and oversee the development activities in Spain.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage project permitting activities for PV, Wind Farm and BESS greenfield projects developed internally.
* Oversee the full development lifecycle of renewable projects, from greenfield to ready-to-build status.
* Coordinate and supervise the different phases of project development, ensuring timelines, quality, and compliance.
* Review, validate, and track all incoming permit documentation, ensuring adequacy and completeness, and proactively managing follow-ups.
* Act as a key point of contact with public and private authorities, as well as internal stakeholders across departments (construction, grid, legal, finance).
* Lead negotiations and work closely with the legal department in the execution and closing of development-related agreements.
* Identify, plan, and monitor all permitting and development activities required for projects to reach RTB status.
* Provide guidance and support to junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Requirements
* Engineering Degree (or similar technical background) is highly valued.
* 5+ years of experience in permitting and development of renewable energy projects.
* Proven experience managing complex projects and interacting with multiple stakeholders.
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Leadership mindset, strong teamwork orientation, and problem-solving skills.
* Willingness to travel.
* High level of English (spoken and written).
