The Service Engineer Digital Technologies for Leica Biosystems is responsible for delivering, promoting, and selling high-quality technical service within the geographical area, including the EU if required. The role focuses on service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of laboratory instruments, particularly Imaging Solutions, network devices, and remote services.
Key responsibilities include:
* Visiting customers for installations, preventive maintenance, repairs, fault analysis, and upgrades to ensure high customer satisfaction.
* Providing phone and remote support to minimize customer downtime.
* Performing root cause analysis in the field or in the business/manufacturing unit.
* Being the local expert and supporting other Field Service Engineers in the region.
This position is based in Madrid and will be fully remote. The Service Engineer will report to the Iberia Service Manager.
Qualifications include:
* Experience in Field Service or a related field, preferably with medical devices.
* Knowledge of network configuration, firewalls, TCP/IP, Windows Server, Linux, VMs, and SQL.
* Experience with Digital Pathology Integration solutions is advantageous.
* Ability to learn independently in technical areas.
Travel requirements: approximately 80% within the region, including overnight travel.
Language requirements: English & Spanish.
