Job Description
The successful applicant will join the Engineering Controlling Team in Getafe.
The jobholder acts as a Business Partner of the chief Engineering Organisation, supporting in all financial aspects across the life cycle of a Project, from the bidding to the execution, along with EAC and day‑to‑day requests.
Initially focus on FCAS programme;
further scope of activities (e.G. support to new contracts such as the Spanish Trainer Aircraft) will be determined upon candidate selection and supporting the span of activities of the performances engineering F&C Getafe Team.
Responsibilities
* Manages targets set by programs through convergence process
* Cascade the targets at the correct level of granularity to steer the business properly (Org Area, Personnel hours/Subco./Material, etc.)
* Secure adherence of actual costs with the target during the execution phase
* Provide transparent reporting per programme level
* Deliver high quality timely financial reports, ensuring they:
o Provide meaningful information regarding status vs targets
o Provide visibility on the different types of delta, with a special focus on deltas coming from activities out of EAC scope (late modifications, extraordinary developments, certifications, etc.)
o Are harmonized and ensure consistency, including in the generation process
* Analyze quantitative and qualitative data on performance against budgets/targets highlighting discrepancies and risks & opportunities, ensuring early identification of deviation from financial plan and orientating recovery measures for implementation
* Support the offer process by contributing to the engineering quotation preparation (including price investigation when required)
* Support workload planning cycles per central Finance requirements, with a particular focus on:
o Secure consistency across planning cycles (e.G. EAC) and programme directives and assumptions
o Secure convergence and alignment with Programme (incl. programme finance)
o Validate Submission / secure financial affordability of Workload vs Programme funding
* Use financial processes and tools, and basic project management and technical knowledge in operational areas
* Further develop Business Partnering to the Chief Engineers
Relevant Skills and Experience
* Bachelor degree in Finance, Business Management, Engineering or equivalent
* 3‑5 years of experience in Function or Project/Program Controlling
* Financially aware with high business partnering acumen
* Experience in engineering environment is an advantage
* Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools, especially Excel and Sheets
* Knowledgeable on financial systems (ERP SAP, BW, DPR/CMA, ...)
* Interest for IT topics and automation;
knowledge of reporting tools would be a plus
* Spanish and English to negotiation level
* Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving approach
* Dynamic and proactive person
* Critical thinking & ability to constructively challenge the operational business
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent team‑working skills;
willingness to work in a transnational environment
