About the Role
We seek a highly experienced Business Development Manager to lead business development and strategic partnerships within the pharmaceutical and CRO sectors, focusing on clinical trials and the integration of AI‑based medical technologies in research workflows. The role combines commercial acumen with a solid understanding of clinical research environments, making it ideal for someone who can navigate both scientific and business conversations with clients.
You'll work closely with our Life Sciences team and senior leadership to develop partnerships, drive revenue, and position Legit.Health as a trusted AI partner in clinical research.
Responsibilities
* Identify, initiate, develop, and manage business opportunities with clients and partners.
* Develop and execute sales and business development strategies for AI‑powered medical device software products.
* Build consultative relationships with key stakeholders (clinical operations, R&D, innovation departments).
* Understand client needs related to clinical trials and AI applications, translating them into tailored proposals.
* Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals.
* Collaborate with internal teams (Clinical Science, Product, Marketing, Customer Success) to ensure alignment between technical capabilities and client expectations.
* Act as a bridge between the commercial team and clinical stakeholders, ensuring that our scientific and technical message is accurate and compelling.
* Anticipate business risks, competitor movements, and regulatory trends in clinical research.
* Represent Legit.Health at conferences, trade shows, and industry events, promoting our products and establishing key relationships.
* Provide regular and detailed reports on sales progress, forecasts, and strategies to senior management.
* Collect client feedback to inform product and research strategy.
Qualifications
* 5‑10 years in business development or partnership roles, ideally within digital health, CROs, or pharma.
* Minimum of 3 years working with CROs or clinical trials in Europe (US experience is a strong plus).
* Ability to communicate complex scientific and technical concepts clearly and compellingly.
* Strong business acumen and exceptional negotiation skills to secure advantageous deals and drive company growth.
* Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot or similar) and G Suite.
* Excellent presentation and negotiation skills with C‑level, R&D, and medical teams.
* Proven ability to manage relationships with clients and partners at the senior executive and director level.
* Strong focus on closing deals and driving measurable results.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of news, trends, and regulations in the healthcare sector.
* “Can‑do” attitude, ability to solve problems and act quickly.
* Able to work autonomously with discipline, high motivation, and energy.
* Proactive, disciplined, highly organized approach to work, able to make independent decisions and initiate action.
* Team player capable of adapting to changes in a fast‑paced environment, with analytical decision‑making skills.
