Role Overview
We are seeking an OT Applications Manager to develop and execute strategies optimizing the convergence of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT).
This role will oversee planning, design, and implementation of these systems to ensure alignment with business objectives, security and enterprise architecture (EA) policies, established standards, and best practices.
The Manager will collaborate closely with IT and OT teams to develop and execute projects securely improving processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and providing competitive advantages.
Key Responsibilities
* Enterprise Architecture Governance: Define the EA framework to streamline architecture and establish standards.
* Role Alignment: Align roles and responsibilities between OT, IT, and external service providers for stability and effective support.
* Team Collaboration: Foster collaboration between IT and OT teams as a key intermediary.
* Tech Scouting: Identify emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impact on the organization's IT/OT convergence strategy.
* System Evaluation: Evaluate security, effectiveness, and resiliency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improvement, convergence, or further leverage.
* Proof-of-Concepts: Participate in proof-of-concept efforts and evaluate new technologies driving operational efficiency to achieve IT/OT objectives and business goals.
* Cross-Functional Partnerships: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure security, resiliency, and scalability of converged IT/OT systems and infrastructure. Oversee planning, design, and implementation of IT/OT projects.
* Change Management: Collaborate to develop OT change control, security policies, procurement practices, and audit requirements.
* Vendor Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure successful implementation of IT/OT projects.
Requirements
* Industry Standards: Understanding of related industry standards and best practices frameworks such as NIST 800-82, CPWE, and ISA/IEC 62443.
* Mfg Systems: Familiarity with manufacturing systems (ICS, MES, QCS, data historian, process technology and analytics) running in a highly available production environment.
* OT Tech Experience: Technical experience with OT systems, processes, and technologies preferred.
* Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding and experience of delivering compliant and qualified IT and OT systems in a controlled manufacturing and supply chain environment.
* Operational Technology: Able to articulate and deep understanding of Operational Technology.
* Regulation Awareness: Good understanding of the most current regulations applying to computer systems validation.
* Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate externally and internally at higher levels.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to foresee possible issues and troubleshoot them proactively.
* Leadership Skills: Teaching ability, strong change management skills to actively drive and manage change, and good team lead skills.
