Likewise, a restructuring lawyer educates funds and PE firms in workouts and/or restructuring schemes to preserve value through recovery or enforcement, as well as to mitigate impacts when value is closed to 'zero'. The role encompasses both contentious and non-contentious matters, such as negotiating debt repayment plans, restructuring plans, workout schemes, driving recovery plans and handling fully-fledged insolvency processes and liquidations/winding-up processes.
