In this role you will lead ABB's data privacy and integrity programs as the Integral Lead Counsel for the Robotics division. You will act as the Data Protection Officer for ABB Robotics, guiding compliance across data privacy, anti-bribery, trade compliance, and conflicts of interest.
You’ll provide pragmatic legal counsel to mitigate risk, drive process improvements, and support regulatory investigations and audits. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen controls and foster a high-integrity culture.

- Serve as subject matter expert for integrity risk areas (ABAC, COI, trade compliance, human rights, anti-trust, data privacy) and advise the business on strategic risk.
- Own and manage the Anti-Bribery & Corruption framework and related policies, including gifts, travel, third-party risk, and global trade policies.
- Lead training, communications, and guidance; monitor regulatory trends; develop and improve compliance policies and risk frameworks.
- Collaborate with Finance, Internal Audit, and Integrity teams to design and test controls; drive automation for monitoring; oversee ESG reporting and external counsel management.
- Act as Data Protection Officer for ABB Robotics (including Germany or outsourced DPO) and manage the global data privacy portfolio: DPIAs/TIAs, DSARs, DPAs, notices, consents, breach management, and cross-border transfers.

- Qualified lawyer with 10+ years of experience
- Experience in regulatory risk & compliance, data privacy, ABAC, trade compliance, and anti-trust
- Proven senior-level legal and compliance decision-making with leadership and communication skills
- Experience implementing risk-based compliance frameworks across complex organizations
- Experience overseeing external counsel to optimize legal support
- High integrity with ability to make pragmatic decisions under pressure
- Fluent in English; additional languages (Mandarin, German, Swedish, Spanish) are assets
