From Grafton Recruitment, we are looking for an industrial automation engineer (Lifting Systems).
The adecuado candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and commissioning of automation systems for lifting and installation equipment within the wind energy sector.
The scope of the role ranges from defining control architectures and PLC programming to on-site validation, system tuning, and troubleshooting under real operating conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and develop automation architectures (PLC, SCADA, electrical, and hydraulic drives).
- Program and parameterize PLCs, specifically utilizing TIA Portal.
- Design and review electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and control logic.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, and safety systems.
- Execute field testing, commissioning, and tuning of control loops.
- Diagnose and resolve complex faults in industrial environments.
- Implement industrial communications, including wireless solutions in demanding environments.
- Integrate multi-vendor equipment into centralized control systems.
- Assess existing systems (retrofitting) and propose improvements in control, reliability, and efficiency.
- Model and validate systems using tools such as Matlab, Simulink, or LabVIEW as required.
- Develop technical documentation for operation and maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 5 years in industrial automation, including design and commissioning.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced programming of PLCs, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Control Systems: Proven experience in designing control systems for industrial environments.
- Field Experience: Expertise in on-site commissioning, adjustment, and diagnostics.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Networking: Proficiency in industrial networks and communications (wired and wireless).
- System Integration: Ability to manage and integrate multi-vendor systems.
