EY GDS Spain – Data Analyst (Hybrid) – Malaga

Your Key Responsibilities
* Defining business requirements
* Identifying relevant and necessary data for business analysis
* Collaborating with Data Engineers to determine and identify appropriate data sources that meet business requirements and to define new processes that improve data collection for analysis
* Performing data profiling, cleansing and transformation activities
o Creating scalable and efficient data models for reporting purposes
o Analyzing and visualizing data using technologies such as data mining, data exploration, Power BI, QlikSense and Tableau to generate insights that address business stakeholders’ questions
o Managing end‑to‑end analytical projects from understanding business needs to effectively communicating analysis results through data storytelling
Key Skills and Attributes
o Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear data requirements and actionable insights
o Good understanding of data profiling, cleansing and statistical analysis techniques to ensure data quality and accuracy
o Strong communication and storytelling skills to present data‑driven insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
o Team‑oriented attitude with experience collaborating across functions, especially with Data Engineers, to align data solutions with business goals
o Self‑motivated and proactive in managing analytical projects from requirement gathering to insight delivery
o Fluent in English, enabling effective collaboration in multicultural environments
Qualifications
o Degree in engineering or scientific disciplines
o 2–4 years of experience on projects in the industrial sector, preferably in consulting firms
o Front‑end development skills using Qlik and Power BI
o Good knowledge of SQL
o Knowledge of PowerQuery
o Knowledge of DAX language
o Skills in statistics
o Proficiency in English
Desirable
o B2 in Italian is a plus
o Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies
o Curiosity and willingness to explore emerging technologies in the Data & AI space (e.g., Generative AI, machine learning, MLOps)
