Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, I will support the Director of Housekeeping focus on the rejuvenation of the rooms, residences, public area and laundry experience.
I will perform the following relevant tasks for this role:
· Support the Director of Housekeeping by overseeing the daily operations of guest rooms, residences, public areas, and laundry, ensuring consistent standards of cleanliness and presentation.
· Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public spaces, identifying areas for improvement and recommending actionable solutions.
· Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, Wellness, Food & Beverage, and other departments to deliver seamless service and exceed guest expectations.
· Guide, train, and motivate the housekeeping team, coordinating schedules and ensuring optimal staffing levels.
· Manage inventory, including linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies, while promoting sustainable practices and responsible usage.
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations across all housekeeping operations.
· Maintain organization and order in back-of-house areas, fostering a positive and efficient working environment.
· Address guest requests, feedback, or operational challenges promptly, providing effective solutions.
· Assist in recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of housekeeping hosts.
· Uphold Six Senses standards, operating procedures, LQA requirements, and wellness-focused initiatives.
· Attend meetings and trainings as required, staying aligned with the property's operational and service goals.
· Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping.
Qualifications
To execute the position of Assistant Executive Housekeeper, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar or greater role in luxury hotels with proven results. I possess a minimum hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school and more than two years' experience in a similar hotel operational role.
In terms of housekeeping management, I have excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. I also have a deep understanding of cleaning and sanitation practices, as well as the ability to develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and protocols. I have an intuitive sense of product and service quality, a passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of the luxury customer.
Technical skills include advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including POS and PMS platforms. I have the knowledge of hotel/resort and policies on room allocation etc.
I have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish.
