Responsibilities:
1. Continuous Improvement Strategy & Leadership
1. Develop, implement, and sustain the plant’s Continuous Improvement roadmap aligned with corporate VPS/Lean standards.
2. Facilitate cultural transformation toward problem-solving, waste elimination, and operational excellence.
3. Lead Kaizen events, improvement workshops, and targeted performance improvement initiatives.
2. Performance Monitoring & KPI Management
4. Define and track CI-related KPIs (OEE, scrap, productivity, delivery performance, safety indicators). KPI reviews, escalation processes, and action tracking, fully aligned with documented
5. Identify deviations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are defined, executed, and verified.
3. Process Optimization
6. Map and analyze production processes to identify improvement opportunities (VSM, flow optimization, line balancing).
7. Reduce cycle times, changeover times (SMED), inventory levels, and material flow inefficiencies.
8. Support engineering and production teams in equipment, layout, and process modifications that enhance productivity and quality.
4. VPS / Lean Methods & Tools Deployment
9. Deploy tools such as 5S, standard work, visual management, root cause analysis, PDCA, problem-solving matrices, and mistake-proofing.
10. Benchmark best practices internally and externally to accelerate lean maturity.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
11. Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and HSE to solve systemic problems and support strategic projects.
12. Facilitate collaboration between departments, ensuring alignment on improvement priorities (as reflected in VPS and improvement responsibilities
6. Training & Capability Building
13. Train team leaders, supervisors, engineers, and operators in CI methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
14. Develop internal CI champions to ensure knowledge transfer and long-term sustainability.
7. Project Management
15. Lead and manage CI projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and expected savings/impact are met.
16. Prepare progress reports, cost-benefit analyses, and project documentation for plant leadership.
8. Support for New Industrialization / Engineering Activities
17. Collaborate with Industrial Engineering on new product/process launches to ensure full integration of Lean standards from Day 0.
18. Align CI activities with APQP requirements when applicable.
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, VPS/operational excellence, cross-functional projects management.
