Your mission in our team
As Control Centers Engineer, you'll design and implement sophisticated Control Center Systems for Main Line and Mass Transit projects across the globe. You'll translate complex customer requirements into elegant technical solutions, developing comprehensive specifications, defining software and hardware architectures, and overseeing testing and commissioning procedures. Working at the intersection of engineering excellence and customer success, you'll collaborate with internal teams, partners, and customers to deliver world‑class mobility solutions that keep millions of people moving safely and efficiently.
Challenges that await
Design & Technical Leadership
- Manage and ensure traceability of requirements throughout the complete project lifecycle
- Design custom Control Center solutions that meet customer, product, safety, and security requirements
- Develop detailed technical specifications and define software and hardware architectures tailored to each project
- Create comprehensive manuals, deployment guides, testing procedures, and commissioning plans
- Implement, test, and commission complex hardware and software solutions
- Lead formal review meetings, communicate project status, and identify and report risks proactively
- Ensure all designs, implementations, and tests meet project requirements and regulatory standards
- Provide customer training and support for installation and maintenance activities
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring goals, objectives, and timelines align with program and organizational roadmaps
- Collaborate with engineering teams across departments and Siemens Mobility divisions
- Interface effectively with stakeholders, partners, and customers on project‑specific technical topics
- Attend and lead technical meetings with internal and external parties
- Proactively identify areas for innovation, process improvement, and cost reduction opportunities
- Contribute to the evolution of Control Center solutions through research and development activities
- Share knowledge and best practices across projects and teams
What will make your application stand out
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in an engineering position
- Strong programming knowledge in C and Java languages and environments
- Hands‑on experience with desktop and server platforms based on Windows and UNIX/Linux
- Fluent Spanish (spoken and written)
- English language proficiency at B2 level or equivalent (mandatory)
- Goal‑driven mindset with strong customer orientation and team leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non‑technical audiences
- Willingness to travel worldwide when required by project needs

- Knowledge of CENELEC or similar standard(s) in product development lifecycle
- Background in railway systems and technology
- Advanced experience developing in C and Java programming languages
- Cybersecurity‑related knowledge and understanding of secure system design
- Experience with control system architecture and real‑time systems
- Familiarity with agile project management methodologies
- Knowledge of digital transformation in mobility and transportation sectors
- Experience with configuration management and version control tools
- Track record of successful project delivery in international, multidisciplinary environments
