We are now seeking a R&D Project Manager / Clinical Manager, based in Spain, to play a central role in leading clinical research and innovation across the organisation’s growing human health portfolio.
This role will drive clinical project design, execution, and cross-functional coordination from early-stage development to product claims generation. You will work closely with R&D, regulatory, marketing, and external research partners, ensuring projects are scientifically rigorous, commercially relevant, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
Design, initiate, and manage human clinical studies (protocols, CRO oversight, data quality)
Lead cross-functional R&D and innovation projects aligned with business strategy
Collaborate with marketing to translate clinical data into health claims and positioning
Ensure compliance with GCP, ICH, EFSA/FDA-related guidelines for nutraceuticals
Liaise with global stakeholders to align timelines, scientific direction, and regulatory pathways
Contribute to technical dossiers, publication planning, and scientific communication
Support the development of new product opportunities emerging from the merger of business units
Candidate Profile
MSc or PhD in Life Sciences, Nutrition, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or similar
3–7 years' experience managing clinical trials or human health research projects
Experience within functional ingredients, postbiotics, enzymes, or nutraceuticals preferred
Strong understanding of clinical and regulatory frameworks in Europe
Project management expertise with the ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams
Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus
Based in or open to relocation to Spain
