About the Role
The resource will lead projects within the Engineering Function and will deal with R&D and Engineering team for technical design, ensuring project consistency to design standards and business guidelines.
Responsibilities
Leading the project within the Engineering function, ensuring that the product meets agreed technical requirements and coordinating the design team;
Overseeing Mechanical, Hardware, and Software development according to project specifications;
Defining and managing the design plan, system architecture, and module breakdown;
Releasing existing modules into production and verifying them through simulation and virtual commissioning;
Managing system integration, verification, and final design validation;
Supporting manufacturing and assembly processes, implementing design adjustments and updating the bill of materials as needed;
Reviewing and approving final engineering documentation;
Driving "Design to Cost" initiatives and promoting technical knowledge sharing within and beyond the engineering team;
Ensuring a smooth handover from R&D to the rest of the organization;
Leading and supporting the team by setting clear objectives and development plans.
What you need to be successful
Mechanical, Automation or Mechatronic Engineering Degree;
Master's in Engineering or Management;
At least 7 years of experience in mechanical design;
Knowledge of modern 3D CAD system, integrated with PLM;
Good knowledge of pneumatics;
Familiar with basic functions of ERP;
Electrical and Software Engineering knowledge;
Background in packaging machine sector would be highly valuable.
