Overview
We are looking for an IT Project Manager to lead software development initiatives within large-scale organizations, particularly in the banking and insurance sectors. This role involves managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, quality execution, and alignment with strategic business goals. The IT Project Manager will report directly to C-Level stakeholders and actively participate in steering committees.
Experience
- 5+ years of proven experience managing end-to-end IT or software development projects.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and MVP delivery.
- Prior experience reporting to C-Level stakeholders and participating in steering committees.
- Demonstrated ability to manage governance, compliance, financial control, risk, and issue management within large-scale programs.
- Solid track record of delivering technology initiatives in enterprise environments, particularly in banking, insurance, or other regulated industries.
- Experience working in matrix organizations and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to eCommerce or digital transformation projects is a strong plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end execution of IT and software development projects, ensuring scope, timeline, quality, and budget are met.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for C-Level stakeholders and participate in steering committees.
- Define and implement project governance structures, ensuring proper reporting, escalation paths, and compliance.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial alignment with business goals.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies across multiple workstreams.
- Facilitate effective stakeholder communication and engagement at all organizational levels.
- Promote and embed Agile practices, including sprint planning, MVP thinking, and continuous delivery.
- Lead cross-functional teams in dynamic and matrixed environments, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Champion change management and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
