Not someone who delegates every problem to a third party. We need someone who gets on the boat, opens the engine hatch, and knows what they're looking at.Who We AreHelmsman Club is the world's first nautical ecosystem — RYA Academy, Day Charter, Club Membership, and boat management, all under one roof. Based in Marina Santa Eulalia, Ibiza. 16-boat fleet. 270 members. Growing fast.We already work with a trusted external mechanical company for engines and major technical work. What we need is someone in-house who bridges that gap — someone with enough mechanical knowledge to handle day-to-day issues, coordinate with our mechanics intelligently, and keep the fleet running at the highest standard.What You'll Actually DoFleet maintenance — hands-on, year-round care of the fleet: seasonal checks, antifouling, cleaning systems, minor repairs, equipment upkeepUrgent mechanical triage — when something breaks before a charter, you assess it, fix what you can, and coordinate the right people for what you can'tCaptain coordination — you are the operational backbone;
you make sure every activity has the right captain, confirmed and briefedCleaning coordination — you oversee fleet presentation standards so every boat is immaculate before every clientMechanic liaison — you are the main point of contact with our external mechanical partners;
you speak their language because you know the workWhat We're Looking ForSolid mechanical background — marine, automotive, or industrial (marine preferred, not mandatory)Comfortable working with your hands and getting into tight spaces on boatsOrganised enough to manage a schedule of captains, cleaners, and mechanics simultaneouslyBased in Ibiza, or genuinely ready to relocateSpanish and/or English — both are a plusBoating experience or passion is a big advantageWhat We're NOT Looking ForIf your answer to a technical problem is always "I'll call someone" — this isn't the right role.
