We seek a talented and motivated Project Manager for Social Innovation projects to join our Project Management Office, part of the European/International Post-Award Unit at Fundació Sant Joan de Déu.
The Project Management Office – PMO
The International Post-Award Unit manages over 50 European projects, mainly from Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe, with 10 led by our institution. The PMO supports Principal Investigators and researchers by providing scientific, technical, and managerial support for project development and execution.
The selected candidate will be part of the PMO, responsible for implementing assigned projects, especially those related to social innovation.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
1. Project management and coordination:
* Coordinate daily activities according to work plans, including quality control, meetings, work distribution, and deadline follow-up.
* Guide project partners on technical, ethical, and strategic issues; resolve conflicts; ensure alignment with objectives.
* Manage Work Packages where SJD is leader, organize meetings, compile documents, and prepare reports and deliverables.
* Oversee project quality and risk management, including document review and communication plans.
* Assist in preparing scientific-technical reports for funding agencies.
* Prepare agendas, presentations, and minutes for project meetings and committees.
* Develop and monitor Data Management Plans and DPIAs, ensuring data protection compliance.
* Monitor ethical procedures and prepare relevant documentation for ethics committees.
* Track Gantt charts and interface with stakeholders such as participants, schools, and social services.
1. Social innovation activities:
* Contribute to defining impact strategies, including theories of change and impact narratives.
* Lead monitoring and evaluation activities.
* Design and facilitate participatory activities like workshops and hackathons.
* Lead knowledge valorization and dissemination efforts, involving stakeholders.
* Support transferability, exploitation plans, and scalability efforts.
* Contribute to communication strategies and social awareness campaigns.
2. Support in project idea development: Assist the Pre-Award unit with co-creation and participatory activities to define project challenges.
Requirements
* University degree or PhD, preferably in Social Sciences and Humanities.
* 1-3 years of relevant experience.
* Familiarity with EU-funded programs such as Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, EaSI, CERV, AMIF.
* Experience as a Project Manager for European projects is a plus.
* Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation of social interventions.
* Deep understanding of participatory methodologies (co-creation, design thinking, living labs, storytelling).
* Methodological expertise in social sciences (qualitative, participatory approaches).
* Impact-related skills: change management, stakeholder communication, facilitation, negotiation, partnership management, mentoring, reporting.
* Fluency in Spanish, Catalan, and English.
* Availability for occasional travel.
