For our representative office in Barcelona,we are currently looking for a Technical Account Manager – Engineering Plastics (m/f/d) to strengthen our team as soon as possible:
What you will do
* Responsible for the development of our Engineered Plastics business for Automotive, Electronics & Electrical and Industrial Segments in the Iberia Region
* Identify, develop, and manage strategic customer relationshipswith OEMs, Tier suppliers, and component manufacturers.
* Build a deep understanding of customer applications, technical requirements, and market trendsto identify new growth opportunities.
* Manage design-in projectsand coordinate with global R&D and technical service teams to develop the right material solutions.
* Function as the key technical and commercial interfacebetween LG Chem and the customer, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and long-term cooperation.
* Analyze market and competitor activitiesto support business strategy and portfolio positioning.
* Represent LG Chem’s Engineered Plastics portfolio at industry events, customer workshops, and technical conferences.
What you will bring
* Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
* Minimum 3-5 years of professional experiencein technical marketing, application development, or a commercial role of engineering plastics.
* Solid knowledge of thermoplastics such as PC, PBT, PA, PPO, or related compounds, and understanding of injection molding and design for plastics.
* Proven track record in key account management or business developmentwithin the Automotive, E&E or Industrial Markets
* Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skillscombined with a proactive, result-oriented mindset.
* Entrepreneurial personality with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix and multicultural environment.
* Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken; another European language (e.g., French) is desirable.
* Willingness to travel > 50% in Western Europe
