BOLD Technologies (BT) – Designs, develops, and manufactures high‐voltage battery systems and electric propulsion components for defense, tactical vehicles, military platforms, aviation, and advanced mobility.
BOLD Applied Engineering (BAE) – Provides professional engineering services, primarily to elite motorsport teams (especially Formula 1), in composite design, mechanical engineering, aerodynamics, and systems integration, with expertise transferred to complex defense programs.
Job Summary
Senior Hardware Engineer responsible for the development of cutting‐edge, high‐quality, regulation‐compliant hardware systems for BOLD's electrification projects.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware System Design & Development – Lead concept and detailed design, own schematics, PCB layout, and system architecture using Altium.
Ensure electrical system integration meets safety, EMI/EMC, and regulatory standards.
Propose and implement design methodology improvements.
Maintain documentation quality and traceability.
Cross‐functional Collaboration – Act as hardware representative, coordinate with Systems, Mechanical, Software, and Testing teams.
Communicate hardware needs and constraints to stakeholders.
Balance product performance, cost, and manufacturability.
Validation & Testing – Define and supervise validation plans, test protocols, and pass/fail criteria; execute hands‐on testing; lead root‐cause analysis.
Ensure EMC and functional safety are addressed early.
Mentorship & Technical Leadership – Guide junior engineers, conduct technical reviews, pair design sessions, and support hiring and onboarding.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Advanced knowledge in schematic & PCB design (Altium).
Expertise in high‐voltage systems and vehicle architectures.
Strong understanding of analog/digital circuits, SI/EMC.
Functional safety certification (ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
Fluency in English.
Desirable Skills and Additional Experience
Embedded hardware development experience, knowledge of SPICE.
Additional functional safety experience.
