R&D Operations Engineer Graduate – Graduate Program
Amcor is launching its next Graduate Program in October 2026. The program will include three international rotations across Amcor plants and offices in Europe. Participants will work on R&D Operations projects and have the opportunity to explore different functions within the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Support the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of R&D systems, tools, and operational processes across Europe.
* Contribute to cross‑functional European projects with other functions such as Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, IT, Sustainability, Operations, and Product Management.
* Interface between business stakeholders and system/process owners to translate operational needs into structured, practical solutions.
* Align data and analytics initiatives with business priorities to enable fact‑based decision‑making.
* Support change management activities by preparing and delivering documentation, training materials, and communication for new or improved systems and processes.
* Rotate across projects and focus areas within R&D Operations to explore interests, develop strengths, and shape future career direction.
Education & Experience
* Master’s or Honours degree in Industrial Engineering, General Engineering, Data Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
* Evidence of academic achievements and/or extracurricular activities.
* Up to two years of relevant internship or work experience in an industrial, engineering, R&D, or operations environment.
* Experience with an international study or work experience is an asset.
* Exposure to cross‑functional projects, data analysis, or process improvement activities is an advantage.
Technical & Analytical Skills
* Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving mindset, with the ability to understand end‑to‑end processes.
* Interest in IT systems and data, with basic knowledge of SQL, programming concepts, databases, and/or data modelling.
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and/or CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) is a plus.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI is nice to have.

* Ability to see the big picture and understand connections between processes, systems, and functions.
* Curious, proactive, and motivated to drive continuous improvement.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills in international, multidisciplinary teams.

Language & Mobility
* Fluency in English – any other European language is an advantage.
* Willingness to travel and work abroad across Europe.
* Permanent work permit in the EU.
