Role overview
The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all bar outlets within Time Out Market Barcelona, ensuring excellence in service, maximizing profitability, and delivering a consistent customer experience aligned with the Time Out brand.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of all TOM Bars.
* Ensure efficient stock management, ordering, and supplier relations.
* Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager to guarantee compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager to optimize staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and service quality.
* Team Leadership
o Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager to recruit, train, and develop bar staff to maintain high service standards.
o Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager to foster a positive and motivating team culture.
o Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager to conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
* Customer Experience
o Ensure exceptional service across all bars, maintaining consistency with the Time Out Market brand.
o Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager to handle guest feedback and resolve complaints swiftly.
* Innovation & Curation
o Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager to curate a unique and innovative beverage program.
o Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager to develop seasonal cocktails, special promotions, and pairings aligned with cultural events.
* Ensure sustainability and responsibility in product sourcing and waste reduction.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Bar Manager, Beverage Manager, or similar role (ideally in high-volume venues, hospitality groups, or food halls).
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Solid knowledge of mixology, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Fluency in Spanish and English (Catalan a plus).
