What are you going to do?
Nutreco's mission is to feed the future. We develop and provide innovative feed technologies, premixes and unique software solutions and services for the animal nutrition industry.
In order to continue to fulfill our ambition as a market leader, the intrinsic demands for the growing business and customer support, the company is further investing in the area of Operations. The roles will give you a unique opportunity to work on Quality, HSE and Efficiency Improvement projects. As well as to co-create and further develop our models and solutions with access to a multi-disciplinary and highly motivated team.
What are your key accountabilities?
Project management
1. Starting from the high-level key deliverables (Masterplan) already defined and approved, you will lead the Planning phase in order to create an accurate Project Management Plan (PMP with baselines on scope, costs, steps, milestones and time etc.)
2. Lead the Network Optimization project according to Nutreco project management methodology (based on PMI principles)
3. Constantly review the project requirements and scope in accordance with stakeholder expectations and form project teams (internal and/or external).
4. Identify risks, assess impact and severity. Have in place a risk mitigation plan.
5. Coordinate decision-making meetings and make proposals to the Steering Committee.
6. Materialize Quick Wins already identified, coordinating the teams to achieve them, and coordinate product allocation, production phase-in and phase-out.
7. Ensure the successful completion of the project in terms of scope, schedule, costs and stakeholder management.
Monitoring and auditing
8. Generate reports regarding project status, including incidents and risks.
9. Track and report on the project budget, scope, and schedule.
10. Track operational efficiencies defined in the project and review with controlling team its contribution to cost reduction.
Leadership and people management:
11. Capable to build strong (national and multicultural) relationships, have excellent communication and network skills.
12. Manage and coach a project team without having hierarchical authority; motivate employees through sincere and concrete feedback and take appropriate action when needed, to insure they are performing in accordance with their project objectives.
Compliance
13. Ensure that all activities are prepared and executed in line with all relevant Nutreco and local safety regulations and procedures (work permits, LoTo, etc.), as well as technical standards, regulations, procedures, instructions and guidelines.
14. Signal potential hazardous and / or unsafe situations on site and during construction activities, take appropriate action in case of imminent unsafe situations.

What you need to succeed
22. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or technical field (PMP certified strongly preferred)
23. Proven international experience in strategic interdepartmental projects
24. Experience with project management SW tools. Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills, hands-on mentality, and result-driven
25. Previous experience working on process standardization
26. Able to demonstrate strong numerical capability with a passion for detailed analysis
27. Interpersonal skills, stakeholder management, open to listening to others' ideas, builds and maintains strong relationships, and has cross-cultural awareness
28. Fluent in both English/Spanish
29. Willingness to travel across Spain and Portugal (10%)
