This role is pivotal in Berry Global’s ERP transformation, one of Europe's largest JDE ERP implementations. This position will bring deep expertise, knowledge & structure to the program, and ensure implementation projects remain on schedule and within the allocated budget. Working with management executives, this position will regularly inspect and report on the project’s progress.
Sant Cugat del Vallès in Barcelona is our headquarters and Berry's Centre of Excellence and Innovation Hub. Which is specified as the role location. We welcome applicants from within Europe and the role has the flexibility to be based in any European country.
The role is hybrid, with a mixture of work locations, which also includes working from home. The post requires 50-70% travel to other Berry sites, which will include overseas travel within Europe and globally.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, technology, business administration or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Project Management Certification (PMP/PgMP from PMI, PRINCE2 or APM) is a plus.
Experience
1. 10 to 15 years of IT and business/industry work.
2. Track record of leading successful ERP implementations (., an ERP project that realized its anticipated business benefits and was delivered in a timely manner within budgetary boundaries).
3. Oracle/JDE ERP experience is highly desirable.
4. Three to five years of leadership responsibility managing midsize to large teams and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
Knowledge/Skills
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak to technical-level staff and summarize communications for executive consumption.
6. Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated record of accomplishment.
7. Excellent management and team-building skills.
8. Utilizes project management software tools and processes to effectively manage, monitor and control project activities.
9. Ability to analyze, understand and effectively communicate between business requirements and technical design and implementation.
10. Budget planning and management.
11. Working knowledge of applications being implemented and integrated with the core ERP software.
12. Problem-solving, negotiation and decision-making skills to influence management as well as internal and external partners.
13. Demonstrated leadership abilities; effective in matrix management and team building.

18. Must have excellent level of spoken/written English. Other language skills are not essential but advantageous.

19. Lead and manage multiple implementation projects in a multi-vendor environment, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and are delivered within predefined timelines.
20. Own the change control, governance, and release management processes for the ERP global template, including scheduling, coordinating, improving, and managing releases across various environments, but also maintaining comprehensive release management policies and procedures to streamline the software deployment lifecycle.
21. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project statuses, and producing process documentation and project reports for various stakeholders.
22. Lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts and resource needs with internal teams and external partners.
23. Manages highly complex business issues arising from the implementation of new processes or functions
24. Creates positive impact, can influence using effective relationship skills and foster team collaboration. Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
25. Maintains and controls the ERP project budget, schedule, and resources. Manages project scope, risk, and issue resolution
26. Responsible for ERP implementation, including project planning, resource allocation, steering committee leadership and team organizational structure management.

29. Develop, build, and implement project management tools, templates, processes, and controls to ensure best practices are applied to all implementations, ensuring consistent execution and synergies
30. Lead, manage and ensure continuous development of the program team, providing guidance, establishing a structured framework, and resolving program-related challenges for smooth project execution.
