This role manages all facilities procurement activities globally, fosters the adaptation of procurement policies, develops category-specific processes, and leads sustainability and diversity initiatives with key facility suppliers. The Senior Global Category Manager collaborates closely with various facility and sustainability stakeholders and regional procurement teams.Job Responsibilities
Define, drive, and implement facility sourcing strategies;
renew strategic sourcing plans.Identify and collaborate with key stakeholders, advising and influencing within a matrix organization.Determine business requirements and work with stakeholders to define supplier requirements.Lead RFI, RFP, RFQ processes and negotiate contractual terms with potential suppliers.Support vendor qualification processes.Conduct category spend, market, and product analyses for category profiling.Lead Category Councils worldwide involving local procurement teams.Develop and execute optimal sourcing strategies for managed categories.Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers.Ensure accurate spend data for categories.Assess supplier proposals using Total Cost of Ownership, considering SLAs and ESG readiness.Set up KPIs and monitor service levels for compliance and availability.Collaborate with stakeholders to align on sourcing and procurement projects.Manage costs and drive savings through cost models and value creation.Establish rules of engagement with divisions and country organizations regarding categories.Assist the Global Head of Indirect Procurement with category analysis.Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor's or master's degree in Procurement, Engineering, Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or related fields.Minimum 5 years of experience as Facility or Vendor Category Manager, leading sourcing projects regionally or globally.Preferred experience in airport and logistics applications.Proven track record of cost savings and supporting transformation projects.Excellent negotiation skills and contractual understanding.Strong process, project management, and analytical skills.Leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.Ability to work with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural setting.Positive attitude, hands-on mentality, team-oriented.Excellent communication skills;
proficiency in English (spoken and written);
additional languages are a plus.
