Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mijas for a Property Maintenance Manager. The Property Maintenance Manager will oversee the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of holiday rental properties. Responsibilities include managing repair and maintenance tasks, coordinating with external service providers, ensuring properties meet quality and safety standards, conducting regular inspections, and handling emergency maintenance issues promptly. The role also involves managing property records and reporting on maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform general maintenance, handyman repairs, gardening, and pool servicing.
* Manage maintenance projects and coordinate third-party contractors when needed.
* Use property management software to schedule, track, and report tasks.
* Respond to urgent maintenance issues, especially during high season.
* Prepare clear, written maintenance reports for property owners in English.
* Communicate with suppliers, tradespeople, and local contacts in Spanish.
* Conduct regular property inspections and identify improvement needs.
Qualifications
* Experience in property maintenance and management
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills
* Proficiency in managing repair and maintenance tasks
* Ability to coordinate with external service providers
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Experience in hospitality or real estate is a plus
* Bachelor's degree in Property Management, Facilities Management, or related field
* Valid driver’s license and own transport (preferable)
* Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts
* Based in or near Mijas and able to travel across the Costa del Sol
What We Offer
* Full-time contract :
40 hours per week
* Rotating shift schedule with weekend and holiday work
* Trial period :
3 to 6 months, with potential for a long-term role

* Yearly gross salary 22.000-27.000€ depending on skillset and experience
Due to the nature of the vacation rental sector, summer and holiday periods will involve increased workload. Flexibility, reliability, and a can-do attitude are essential.
