🎯 YOUR ROLE
For our Client – Pernod Ricard – a rapidly growing international FMCG company, we are looking for an Accounting Lead/Manager who will oversee all accounting operations across the Benelux entities. In this pivotal role, you will manage a small team and act as the guardian of high-quality financial reporting, compliance, tax and internal controls.
You will also play an essential part in harmonising processes, driving transformation initiatives and preparing the organisation for future ERP rollout(s). As the right arm for the CFO, you are part of the senior leadership team and collaborate with both local stakeholders and global finance counterparts.

Your responsibilities:
* Oversee general ledger activities, monthly closings, statutory accounts and Group reporting in full compliance with local GAAP and IFRS
* Coordinate external audits and ensure timely follow-up on recommendations
* Monitor and optimise cash flow, liquidity and treasury operations
* Ensure accurate cash forecasting and reporting to the Group
* Manage corporate tax, VAT and other statutory filings while safeguarding regulatory and internal control compliance
* Lead the annual internal control review and track remediation actions
* Provide financial insights to internal stakeholders and collaborate closely with FP&A on forecasting and reporting
* Drive the Benelux accounting transformation roadmap, including ERP implementation, process alignment and change management
* Support entity structure simplification and continuous automation of accounting processes
* Lead, develop and coach the accounting team, providing hands-on support during peak periods or absences

Your skills and experience:
* Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
* 8+ years of relevant experience in A-Z accounting
* A people management experience (hierarchical or functional) is necessary
* Strong technical knowledge of local GAAP (Belgian and/or Dutch) and IFRS
* ERP experience required; knowledge of JDE, Navision or SAP is a strong asset
* Experience in an international or multi-entity environment is an advantage
* Strong self-drive, takes initiative and thrives in a changing environment
* Energetic, hands-on and not afraid to challenge existing processes
* Team player with excellent people skills and the ability to develop others
* Ability to communicate clearly with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
