Region South Europe is one of nine regions within the H&M Group, headquartered in Barcelona, Spain. It covers five markets: France, Belgium/Luxembourg, Spain/Portugal, Italy, and Turkey.
The Expansion function supports meaningful growth by managing our real estate portfolio—leasing, designing, purchasing, building, maintaining, and optimizing stores through rebuilds, extensions, renegotiations, relocations, and consolidations.
As part of our Omni journey within Expansion, we seek a passionate leader for the position of Regional Business Controller C&F SEU.
Job Description
In this role, you will collaborate to create the best omni-channel customer experience. You will be part of the Regional Expansion team, working closely with the Regional Head of Expansion Controlling to set the controlling strategy for the region. You will align with the Construction & Facilities (C&F) team to develop strategies and ensure a comprehensive store lifecycle focus, including investments, long-term costs, quality, sustainability, and compliance.
Your key responsibilities include:
1. Setting and implementing regional C&F strategies with the Regional Head of C&F.
2. Budgeting and monitoring all C&F activities in the region.
3. Supporting, motivating, and challenging sales market controllers and C&F teams through values, leadership, and a growth mindset.
4. Conducting trend analysis, prognosis, and reporting.
5. Managing risks and ensuring financial transparency, with clear responsibilities and approval rights for team members.
6. Driving process, method, and tool improvements, supporting all markets and brands within the region.
Qualifications
We seek candidates who can develop effective long-term plans aligned with our vision and strategy, conceptualize ideas, and draw well-supported conclusions. You should enjoy teamwork, collaborate effectively with diverse groups, and possess a strong business mindset with good communication skills and decision-making confidence.
Required qualifications include:
* A degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
* At least 3 years of relevant controlling experience, preferably in retail.
* Experience in preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
* Knowledge of accounting principles.
* Advanced skills in Power BI, MS Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Willingness to travel within the region regularly.
* Proficiency in English and another regional language is a plus.
