We are seeking a Senior Contract Manager. Join us and make a significant impact in this dynamic environment!
The Contract Manager's role within the project team includes:
* Providing contractual, administrative, financial, and tax support during Tender and/or Execution phases.
* Monitoring and supporting project execution, participating in reviews, and managing variations and claims.
* Ensuring compliance with Group policies and liaising with corporate functions as needed.
* Fostering a culture of best practices with IMPACT.
Key responsibilities include:
* Negotiating main contractual documents with the support of SMEs, monitoring commitments, and ensuring adherence to group guidelines.
* Assessing contractual, financial, and administrative risks to protect Schneider Electric's interests.
During the tender phase:
* Reviewing final contracts, proposing commercial strategies, and managing negotiations.
* Identifying and mitigating financial and tax risks with experts.
* Supporting contract finalization and ensuring back-to-back terms with suppliers.
* Conducting contract handovers to the execution team.
During project execution:
* Managing contractual obligations and documentation.
* Advising on suspension notices and optimizing claims for compensations.
* Supporting risk and opportunity management.
* Handling variation orders, claims, and contractual correspondence.
* Participating in reviews and addressing tax, bonding, insurance, and customs issues.
If needed, assisting the Contract/Project Administration team with:
* Document filing, payment applications, financial instruments, tax matters, and project cost reconciliation.
* Implementing corporate guidelines, change order, and claim management best practices.
Requirements:
* Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or related fields; Contract Management Certification preferred.
* Fluent in English and Spanish.
* Over 5 years of experience in contract management within project environments or project/finance management.
Skills:
* Strong analytical abilities.
* Resilience under stress.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to influence stakeholders across projects.
