Your role and work environment:
We seek a talented and enthusiastic Non-Financial Risk (NFR) specialist to join our NFR Team at ING Spain.
The NFR Specialist will report hierarchically to the Head of NFR.
ING is transforming into a Digital Bank, focusing on end-to-end "straight through processing." The Non-Financial Risk Management team ensures operational risks stay within the bank’s risk appetite, maintaining an effective control environment based on a risk-based approach.
The team oversees NFR policies, provides advice on risk and control effectiveness, monitors adherence to risk appetite, and produces quarterly NFR dashboards.
The NFR team focuses on:
* Control Risk
* Processing Risk
* Unauthorized Activities
* Employment Practices
* Personal and Physical Security
* Information Technology Risks
* Continuity and Operational Resilience Risk
* Internal and External Fraud
Your key responsibilities:
* Act as a trusted NFR advisor to IT and Business management.
* Support and monitor NFR risk management processes.
* Participate in risk assessments for strategic projects.
* Assist in issue identification, risk assessment, and follow-up.
* Contribute to developing and maintaining NFR frameworks, policies, and standards.
* Perform quality assurance reviews and deep dives.
* Identify external/internal developments affecting risk strategy.
* Monitor control design and effectiveness.
* Assess impacts of regulatory changes and monitor follow-up actions.
* Support risk profiling and reporting to senior management.
* Raise risk awareness within the organization.
* Develop and deliver training to IT and business teams.
What we are looking for:
* Minimum 5 years of experience as an NFR specialist.
* University degree or equivalent.
* Relevant risk management certifications.
* Experience with digital banking, processes, IT applications, and regulations, especially in Business banking.
* Experience in end-to-end process analysis and root cause analysis.
* Knowledge of testing methodologies.
* Ability to collaborate across functions and countries.
* Sound risk judgment; able to be firm and flexible as needed.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Fluent in English (written and spoken).
* Proactive, communicative, influential, and assertive soft skills.
