Role Overview :
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing Product & Tech team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with fellow data engineers and cross-functional teams to build and maintain a solid data infrastructure that powers insights across the company. You'll play a key role in improving our data reliability, structure, and availability, helping us scale effectively as we expand our global presence.
Main responsibilities :
* Build, scale, and maintain cloud-based robust data solutions, crucial for our long-term strategy and operational success.
* Collaborate with other departments to identify key data needs and translate them into effective and scalable solutions.
* Understand the data needs of the company and plan with other data engineers & scientists on translating these needs into solid data solutions.
* Write ETLs / ELTs from scratch to build an effective Data Warehouse.
* Maintain pipelines with Dagster to ensure smooth daily / weekly executions.
* Establish sanity checks to catch data anomalies early.
* Continuously improve our data processes and infrastructure.
Main requirements :
* Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud-based databases: Redshift and AWS RDS.
* Strong Python skills and related packages for data analytics, transformations, APIs, and AI/ML.
* Proven ability to build and maintain ETLs / ELTs, ideally using dbt or similar frameworks.
* Familiarity with modern data stacks: Fivetran, Hightouch, DBT, Dagster, and cloud services.
* Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
* Experience with modern orchestration tools like Dagster.
* A proactive, self-driven mindset with a passion for solving complex problems with simple, scalable solutions.
* Ability to manage projects independently and take ownership.
* Leadership potential and diplomatic conflict resolution skills.
* Strong communication skills for internal stakeholder interactions.
* Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* Nice-to-have: experience with RAG solutions, vector databases, LLMs, and data curation flows.
