Global Accounting Delivery (GAD)
You will be part of the Global Accounting Delivery (GAD) team, where we strive for smart and nimble finance processes by analyzing financials to support the business in the best way.

GAD is currently a team of 400 people operating from seven different countries and representing over 30 nationalities.

Purchase-to-Pay (PTP), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Cash and Bank (CB), General Ledger (GL), Inventory and Fixed Assets (IFA) and Cluster Teams
We have a variety of teams in our office in Madrid:
* Purchase-to-Pay (PTP): Focus on the self-billing invoice processes, on-boarding new suppliers, analysis of overdue invoices, management of supplier inquiries, approving invoice payment proposals.
* Order-to-Cash (OTC): Processing of customer credit, monitoring invoicing processes, processing deductions, return, discounts, analysis of overdue invoices, customer inquiries.
* Cash and Bank (CB): Monitors daily banking activities from the accounting perspective as well as operational tasks: Cash pools, execution and posting of manual payments to third parties and bank account reconciliations.
* General Ledger (GL): Prepare, execute and control accountancy recurrent entries analyzing the balance sheet and profit and loss during month end, monthly reporting, and intercompany balance reconciliation process to ensure a proper financial statement.
* Inventory and Fixed Assets (IFA): Capitalization, depreciation and disposals and Inventory accounting that includes stock movements and clearings, error handling and post reclassifications.
* Cluster: Interface and the point of contact for our CFOs in our National Companies Volvo Group Finance Organization, internal customers and external auditors, complex analysis and reporting.

Your Role at GAD
At GAD, our Accountants are the interface and the point of contact between the Business Process Outsourcing delivery team and local Volvo Car organizations.
You will be following up on inquiries and perform timely escalation to applicable parties for swift resolution.
You will perform judgement-based issue resolution of inquiries relating to your accounting area.
You will have the opportunity to manage projects in specific areas.
Furthermore, in this role, you will be monitoring rule-based activities performed by an external Business Process Outsourcing delivery team.
You will be securing correct accounting principles and compliance with national and international laws and regulations.
You will be doing analysis and reporting.
The main purpose of the accountant role is to coordinate, execute, implement, and harmonize processes and procedures within the Volvo Cars Group.
Requirements
Whether you're starting your career or a seasoned professional, we would like to welcome your application.
You have a university degree in Finance or equivalent.
You are knowledgeable in Finance processes and policies, and you can apply these to your full ability in your daily work.
You work effectively in global teams and you have experience in executing global processes locally and globally.
Ideally, you have experience working with any of the following tools and technologies: Excel and SAP.
You are eager to learn, customer oriented, proactive and have a great attention to detail.
You are fluent in English both verbally and written, additional language skills are advantageous.
Strong communication skills.
Open-minded team player.
Ability to plan and prioritize with a flexible and positive mindset and able to keep deadlines.
