IT DevOps Expert
Mission
The IT DevOps Expert is responsible for providing guidance on how to orchestrate data solutions on the cloud platform. From the data perspective, the goal of DevOps is to merge daily tasks involved in the development, quality control, deployment, and integration of software development into a single, continuous set of processes.
1. Ability to analyze the technology currently being used and develop plans and processes for improvement and expansion.
2. Participates in project planning meetings to share knowledge of system options, risk, impact, and costs vs. benefits.
3. Performs routine application maintenance to ensure the production environment runs smoothly.
4. Recommends performance enhancements by performing gap analysis, identifying alternative solutions, and assisting with modifications.
5. Defines the strategy to integrate new / legacy systems in stable pipelines structures.
6. Uses configuration management software to automatically deploy updates and fixes into the production environment.
7. Provides infrastructure as code to remove errors, perform testing on infrastructure, streamline operations, and enable faster deployments.
8. Tests code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline and minimize errors.
9. Effectively communicates understanding of the data, reporting requests, and business needs.
10. Provides guidance on how to design and orchestrate data pipelines on the cloud platform, hybrid platform, or on-premises systems.
Education :
1. Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
Languages :
1. Spanish – Mother tongue.
Experience :
1. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a related position required.
2. Experience with cloud architectures: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Hybrid cloud required.
3. Experience in data modeling and database architectures.
4. Experience with relational, no SQL, cloud, real-time, streaming, data mart, data lake databases.
5. Experience with data integration between APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) required.
6. Knowledge of data visualization tools: Power BI, Quickview, reporting services, and ETL tools: Talend, ODI, integration services.
7. Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, Buildbot, Buddy, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
8. Deep knowledge of Git.
9. Deep knowledge of Big Data architectures.
